Kunos’ Licensing Project Manager, and all around bringer of good news, Marco Massarutto has taken to social media this week to apologise to fans in advance that the next free bonus car to be released for Assetto Corsa racing simulator in February 2017 will NOT be a SUV, as he knows how much the community loves those.
Instead, it will be the all singing, all dancing, fire-breathing Audi Quattro rally car from the very dangerous, but very awesome Group B era.
As usual with Kunos’ 3D models, the details look absolutely stunning (check out that cockpit) and I’ve also heard from a few beta testers that it sounds pretty good already…. I can’t wait to drive it.
Those of you with a keen eye might have noticed the setting for the screenshots is also new. This is the new ‘Highlands’ track set in Scotland (teased in Kunos’ 2016 End of Year Announcement) which is also coming as free bonus content in February along with the Group B Audi Quattro in Assetto Corsa 1.12 update.
“…since the “ideal” circuit doesn’t exist in the real world, we created it. Do you like city tracks? Drift layouts? Endurance courses? Then you will get all of them, with a new circuit, that will be available as free bonus content, in 4 different configurations, ideally placed in Scotland and created in partnership with Nvidia and Sparco. This track will allow you to enjoy each car included in Assetto Corsa, from the very little and quiet Abarth 595 to the racing cars designed for endurance racing, to the GT cars you are enjoying so much. We’ll unveil more details very soon, our aim is to release it within the Q1 2017.”
